Joyful on a square millimeter – PianoTweet no.98 (replay)

You must know this feeling:

A great power inside, like a vulcano that’s waking up,
this “yes, yes, yessss!!!” feeling,
you feel like exploding…!

This could be the start of something big,
a breakthrough,
your intuition goes mad,
your imagination has no limits.

And of course,
I know this feeling as well as you probably do.
That’s why I played the keys so close to eachother:

as if the keys of the piano were too close together,
a very small square of musical feelings…

The Importance of Self – PianoTweets no. 95 (replay)

(text written on April 5th 2011)

Yesterday I talked with someone.
Someone “important”.
When talking to this person, I learned something.

We often don’t see our own Importance.
To realize how important we are – each of us –
that’s really a very, very important Discovery.

When we realize how important we are,
we respect and appreciate ourselves,
we realize our dreams,
we will be able to do what we really want to do,
we stop hiding ourselves,
we step forward into the light,
we’ll direct our lives by ourselves.

Use this music to meditate
about how important You are Yourself.

The Morning counts on Me – PianoTweet no. 93 (replay)

From my youngest years I’ve been a morning’s child.
I always got up early, greeting the first daybreak.

Even my parents were surprised.
They learned me about the first things that are supposed
to be done in the morning.

And nowadays, when waking up,
I still feel a kind of duty to the earliest daylights.

To take part of anything that a new day will bring me.
Don’t get me wrong: I like to sleep a lot, even during the morning.

A quiet voice in me often whispers when I wake up:
“Come on, get up, you need the morning, and it needs you…”

Maybe that’s the reason to publish
PianoTweets at 7:00 in the morning.

Eyes are Opening – PianoTweet no. 92 (Replay)

(text written on April 2nd 2011)

I like double senses, metaphors,
suggestive meanings and so on.
As present in the title of today’s PianoTweet.

Every day a new PianoTweet, yes, that’s true!
(nowadays a replay of past PianoTweets, every odd day).

But my eyes are opening more and more every day as well…

I like to observe and learn from what I see.
There is never an ending on what can be learned every day.

But I also like it so much
to open my curious eyes in the morning and
see how a new day awakens,
with its new light and its new sounds…

Enjoy with me!

On my Own – PianoTweet no. 91 (Replay)

(text written on April 1st 2011)

One of the benefits for a piano player is to be a soloist
(not in all circumstances, of course…).

Sometimes it feels like being lonely.
Particularly in my modus when composing and playing
the very PianoTweets themselves.

Generally I feel rather comfortable, happy and balanced.

But when creating images of you all, my dear listeners,
it grows: it gets bigger, stronger and really valuable.
I feel honored that you worship my efforts to publish a new musical piece every day.

Today’s PianoTweet illustrates this returning disciplin of producing a piece.
You know it’s all about miniatures, so listen carefully between the notes!

It’s an anchor in my daily life
to be accompanied by (maybe)
the greatest work in my Life:
PianoTweets.

Heart and Breath – PianoTweet no. 88 (Replay)

When you listen carefully to this music,
you’ll hear that every note is repeated in the background.

Musicians and sound engineers know this effect called an “echo”.
So the second one of each note was not played in reality:
it’s repeated electronically.

The association:
Two most important sources of life.
Our heartbeat and our breathing,
connected together.
Engines of life,
of existence,
energy and movement.
