Nobody’s Perfect – PianoTweet no. 182 (replay)

Many of you listeners already know many pieces from this project.
And they know that a PianoTweet sometimes is
an exercise or an improvisation.

That’s the deal with this project I created myself…

Today’s piece started as an exercise.
Then it’s clear that my brains are faster than my fingers.

And I try again.

So the piece changes into an improvisation
and its end is almost an exercise again.

For me this is big fun and a challenge at the same time.
Playing phrases that seem to collide…
And I liked the recording and the atmosphere.
So I decided to share this with you!

As soon as the day arrives I’m perfect, I will let you know.
Until that day:

Enjoy!

Half a Year! – PianoTweet no. 181 (replay)

(text written on June 30th, 2011)

WOW!

It’s a Birthday today, more or less.
PianoTweets completed a Half Years Life.

In fact, it’s still a baby.
And to keep this little creature growing,
a lof of energy and inspiration
was needed and will be needed in future.

I’ve gone through many processes:
as a musician and as the inventor “backstage”.
When I listen to all PianoTweets, I hear a development.
This process will never stop:
nothing will ever be the same.

At the same time I discover how online working works.
In our today’s world there’s a growing greed for
news, hypes, excitement, fast, faster, more, more and more…

PianoTweets is a bit different though.
Yes, it’s rather new.

But my intention is to create an oasis for everyone.
A stable factor in life.
With harmonious, friendly and thoughtful music and text.

Sunday Awakening – PianoTweet no. 177 (replay)

(text written on June 26th, 2011)

What’s better than an Awakening in the morning,
knowing that a day is coming up that possibly hides
peace, rest, harmony and reflection.

It’s up to us to discover that.

Nevertheless, I’m aware of the fact that it is not an option to everyone…

Partially I have been inspired by notes of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s beautiful melody
“Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence”.
A follower asked me a little while ago
to compose a real variation.

This is a preview to a longer composition.

Serenade (revised version) – PianoTweet no. 179 (replay)

(text written on June 28th, 2011)

“Serenade” is a composition that was published on my CD: “PianoWorks, volume 1”.
This track is not on the website’s demo playlist, but it’s present on the CD, for sure!

The melody “Serenade” was first played in 1998,
right after I bought my beautiful and beloved GrandPiano “Stieff”.

A sample was published here at PianoTweets at the 11th of January.
That’s a long time ago…

At least One Sweet Follower loves this melody very much;
I intend to compose and play an extra long version for Her rather soon.

Until that…:
Enjoy this version!

First Sunbeams of the Day – PianoTweet no. 178 (replay)

(text written on June 27th, 2011)

A precious moment of the day
is the moment I open my eyes and
realise that I’m awake again.

Dreams vanish into the new day’s fog,
my breath gets back to normal,
consciousness returns after numerous exchanges
with the unconsciousness.

In my country it doesn’t happen very often that
the sun wakes me up
by throwing its beams upon
my face and my closed eyes.

But when it happens?
Then it’s absolutely the best way to get into NOW…!

And in my head I hear the acoustic environment of music:
I hear an orchestra that starts playing.

The Rainbow Pact (extended version) – PianoTweet no. 176 (replay)

(text written on June 25th, 2011)

I got inspired by the art of two friends.

A beautiful quote:

“The magnificent colours of the rainbow conjure raindrops on my cheeks”.

And these great pictures:

And this detail…
