The Bells – PianoTweet no. 198 (replay)

(text written on July 17th, 2011)

It’s simple.
I love Bells.

Church bells, Tibetanian Bells, Tubular Bells, Handbells, Cycle Bells…
Even Doorbells, if sounding soft and tuned well.

They all contain harmonics that can’t be produced by a piano.
This is just a little effort (for pianists: I know the tricks on a piano, but I wanted to avoid them)

Bells played with emotion are even better:
they create hope,
space to an awakening mind,
time to take a deep breath and
let us feel grateful about another new day.

The Extended Experiment – PianoTweet no. 197

(text written on July 16th, 2011)

This PianoTweet is based on two pieces I published earlier:

Start of an Idea (PianoTweet 135)
Experiment at Large (PianoTweet 154)

I’m working on a development.
With this PianoTweet I get closer.
Closer to a large dream.
A most exciting dream.

A Symphony for Piano and Orchestra.

These notes (listen to both other PianoTweets),
these thoughts (read the text of both mentioned PianoTweets),
have started gathering together;
to become the fundamentals of this work.

The intention to start writing is there.
The freedom is there.
The perspectives will open soon.

There is a challenge for me.
And a duty to these notes:
bring them together,
arrange them,
build a structure,
give all the notes a home,
give them a place to be.

Due to the fact of this growing importance,
I offer today more notes of it
in an extended PianoTweet.

Melantjong – PianoTweet no. 196 (replay)

(text written on July 15th, 2011)

A little melancholic glimpse in the Past again…

This PianoTweet is a small extract of a track of my CD “Umbria Impressioni”,
recorded in 2002, during the years I lived in Umbria, Italy.

My mother, then still alive and amongst us,
taught me some beautiful Malaysian words.

As this one:
“Melantjong”, which means “Passage”.

It’s a musical illustration of the beautiful environment over there.
Slow and lazy passages I made,
enjoying the lovely nature and space in a healing silence.

Very Direct – PianoTweet no. 195 (replay)

(text written on July 14th, 2011)

A few days ago
I played in front of an audience during an anniversary party.
The party took place at home of the person in charge.

The experience was a very direct one.
The People standing very close to me
as if they were counting the notes I played.
The People could touch me.
The People shook the hands that were playing.
The People were close, I could clearly feel their auras.

And my notes for them
were easy to understand
were sent very directly to their ears.

Innocent Tune – PianoTweet no. 194 (replay)

(text written on July 13th, 2011)

“I am so Innocent,
I want everyone to be happy.
And me to be happy.

There should be
peace everywhere,
happiness everywhere,
no more hunger,
no more war,
no more violence and hatred”.

This is not strange as a wishful thinking, isn’t it?

Why do people laugh when hearing this wishes?
Is it so difficult to achieve this?
Is it so strange to wish this?

We’re so many people all together.
We should have the power
to realize our Dreams.

As a child I have realized all these dreams.
They do exist already.

A Thought: “In the Now” – PianoTweet no. 193 (replay)

(text written on July 12th, 2011)

In the Now!
That’s the Solution!

No more grief about the past,
no more fear for the future.

What’s grief? A type of memory…?
What’s fear? That memory turned backwards?
With “the Now” as the centre of the movement, the centre of the Ax?

For me as a human existence, there’s always a Past.
The Past created me.
And there always will be a Future.

I do my investments for Futures’ sake:
utilizing the Past’s heritage and wisdom.
Only the energy is Now.
Nothing more, nothing less.

Simple Prayer – PianoTweet no. 192 (replay)

(text written on July 11th, 2011)

I’m non religious, nor am I an atheist…
Nor do I support any spiritual movement or direction;
because putting apart
opinions, convictions or beliefs
from any other of these
creates conflicts.

A Prayer is needed in daily life (in my humble opinion).
I consider the function of a Prayer
to send thoughts and wishes
into the Universe like a ray of energy.

As a support to anyone and anything.
Or just to support myself.
It’s like thinking in
clear and maybe even audible words.

A simple example:

“I wish our complete Earth to be safe,
to survive in Universe,
to grow up in better circumstances than nowadays.
Let’s be able – all together – to arrange a hopeful future:
in good health and total freedom”.
