Last year October my father died.
Yesterday was his birthday.
Inspired by his numerous wise words
that still are very clear and present.
We were together yesterday,
to remember him.
We miss him.
When writing “You” in the title of this PianoTweet,
I thought of myself, talked to myself.
As if this music is a gift to myself.
And it is, for sure.
But at the same time of course,
it’s music for you:
being listener and visitor.
Balance and Stability.
That’s what I search.
I search it all my life.
My zodiacal ascendantal sign is Balance.
So, it might be obvious for you all
that this Balance is still moving,
up and down,
left to right.
More than once,
I like to sit down on the bench,
“behind” the grandpiano,
start the computer that registrates every sound,
and let my mind, hands and fingers free.

In these months and weeks of awakening spring,
it’s heard almost all day long,
mostly in the early and the later hours of the day.
This melody is not an effort to “simulate” the blackbird’s sound;
merely the kind of melody that fills the mind,
an atmosphere that lifts the senses.
