Today’s PianoTweet is dedicated
to one of my best and sweetest friends in life: Ben Licher (read her blog…)
She will be in a medical operation today, all day long.
March 28th, 2014.
She’s a guide, a teacher, a light to me.
And to many other people as well.
She, together with her tremendous husband Bas Licher,
showed me another way to face life and all its facets.
Today, all day long, my thoughts,
and those of numerous other people,
are with her in these tensed hours.
This music is my energy I send to her and her husband
during this very important and significant day
There’s a continuity that goes on and on.
And that’s all about Ben:
She goes on and on,
she’s a Continuity herself.
Words that are used often these days:
Comfort Zone.
It’s said that “getting someone out of the comfort zone”
can cause great effects in developing personality issues.
To create insights, space, relief.
And that’s true.
In a way.
On the contrary,
I sometimes prefer to stay
in my comfort zone.
No disturbance, no input,
just me and myself.
Which can be very peaceful and safe.
Let me choose my Comfort Zone.
And leave me there whenever I want.
As you can understand, I have to exercise a good deal.
More than often I combine my exercises with
new, last say, tryout playings.
Today it’s up to a chord study again.
While playing and putting chords together,
my thoughts start travelling again,
images come and go,
feelings pass and shift…
One blink, and
what seemed green got red.
One blink, and
a smile is joined by a tear.
One blink, and
a minute seems an eternity.
One blink away from home
and a planned journey ends.
One Blink of the Eye
can open a vision
on a new path.
