Many of you listeners already know many pieces from this project.
And they know that a PianoTweet sometimes is
an exercise or an improvisation.
That’s the deal with this project I created myself…
Today’s piece started as an exercise.
Then it’s clear that my brains are faster than my fingers.
And I try again.
So the piece changes into an improvisation
and its end is almost an exercise again.
For me this is big fun and a challenge at the same time.
Playing phrases that seem to collide…
And I liked the recording and the atmosphere.
So I decided to share this with you!
As soon as the day arrives I’m perfect, I will let you know.
Until that day:
Nobody’s Perfect – PianoTweet 182
It’s a Birthday today, more or less.
PianoTweets completed a Half Years Life.
In fact, it’s still a baby.
And to keep this little creature growing,
a lof of energy and inspiration
was needed and will be needed in future.
I’ve gone through many processes:
as a musician and as the inventor “backstage”.
When I listen to all PianoTweets, I hear a development.
This process will never stop:
nothing will ever be the same.
At the same time I discover how Online working works.
In our today’s world there’s a growing greed for
news, hypes, excitement, fast, faster, more, more and more…
PianoTweets is a bit different though.
Yes, it’s rather new.
But my intention is to create an oasis for everyone.
A stable factor in Life.
With harmonious, friendly and thoughtful music and text.
Half a Year! – PianoTweet 181
A precious moment of the day
is the moment I open my eyes and
realise that I’m awake again.
Dreams vanish into the new day’s fog,
my breath gets back to normal,
consciousness returns after numerous exchanges
with the unconsciousness.
In my country it doesn’t happen very often that
the sun wakes me up
by throwing its beams upon
my face and my closed eyes.
But when it happens?
Then it’s absolutely the best way to get into NOW…!
And in my head I hear the acoustic environment of music:
I hear an orchestra that starts playing.
First Sunbeams of the Day – PianoTweet 178
Yesterday I got inspired by two friends – followers – listeners – fans…
How would you call them in “Social Media World”…?
One of them is a friend in real life: I call her Friend no. 1.
The other one I never met: I call her Friend no. 2.
So both are Friends, with a capital F 🙂
And yes, both are Female.
Anyway, Friend no. 2 posted on Twitter a very beautiful quote:
“De prachtige kleuren van de regenboog toveren regendruppels op mijn wangen” (original Dutch text)
“The magnificent colours of the rainbow conjure raindrops on my cheeks” (English translation by Arjan Tammer)
Written by Marja Willems.
Follow her on Twitter: @HetDorpsmeisje
Read her blog, enjoy poetic and intelligent texts and quotes: Zichtbaar
Only a few minutes after Marja’s quote, I noticed Friend no. 1 posted two beautiful pictures.
Look at this double rainbow…
And this detail…
These gorgeous photographs were made by Ben Licher.
Follow my sweet Friend on Twitter, she deserves it: @benlicher
Both Friends inspired me to today’s extended PianoTweet.
You should follow them both.
Now it’s your turn.
Add the text, the images and the music together!
No more words needed.
The Rainbow Pact – PianoTweet 176
I’ve been playing and writing
about passions, events, thoughts, theories and more.
And a lot of PianoTweets
about myself and the music itself…
But apart from me, the other Living Source of PianoTweets is:
Named: “Chas. M. Stieff”.
Built: 1916, city of Baltimore, US.
I remember 1998:
From the moment I found him,
played the keys,
heard the characteristic, soulful sound,
I’m deeply in love with my GrandPiano.
I decided he should be my companion.
He joined me
during good times and bad times.
And became a most important part of me.
Of course this melody is far too short for what I feel for my instrument.

Almost daily I take the opportunity to look in my mirror.
Not a mirror that shows me my pressumed handsome look…
It’s an internal mirror, mostly accompanied by a meditation.
Every day I want to know how I look from the outside to the inside:
it’s about states of mind, thoughts, reflections, feelings, visions about
the Now, the Past and The Future.
For me it’s a Moment to look, to listen, to feel
if the track I’m following is the right one for me…
A gentle and humble advice:
take a daily look in Your Mirror.
And may everyday’s PianoTweet be a useful help to that!
Mirror Moment – PianoTweet 170
Just a simple little piece today…
Playing with chords is one of my favorite doings on the piano.
I like to let you hear how the
B major, F sharp major and E flat minor chords are
“tied” together as a family…
Many black keys are involved 🙂
