The Augmented Passion – PianoTweet no. 187 (replay)

(text written on July 6th, 2011)

These augmented chords always sound so nice to me,
from a point of view to harmonics.

A little secret for the pianists amongst you:
The basics.
Do this:
Play a single C base note all the time with your left hand – an octave is fine nevertheless.
Then play these chords with your right hand in succession:
C major, D major and E major.

With this sequence of chords
I feel a great beautiful tension,
my passion starts “bubbling”.
A marvellous trigger to express a certain kind of feelings.
And beautiful as well, when played very softly…

Enjoy!
